Join Dartmouth Libraries to hear from Assistant Professor of Anthropology Maron Greenleaf about her recently published book, Forest Lost: Producing Green Capitalism in the Brazilian Amazon. This timely research looks at forest carbon offsets as a way of understanding green capitalism: the use of capitalist practices to mitigate environmental damage. While Professor Greenleaf's findings demonstrate that green capitalism can be socially inclusive, they also reveal the ways that it can reinforce the marginalization it purportedly seeks to combat.

Talk followed by Q&A. Registration recommended: https://libcal.dartmouth.edu/calendar/library/forestlost
